!- Mississippi-!

The week after Florida I had the opportunity to travel back down south to Jackson, Mississippi. I have been to Mississippi before but never Jackson. I traveled down with my co-worker Ruth. The first night we were there, I knew we were back down south when the hotel cooked us gumbo with rice and beans and gave it to us at no charge. It was so good! It was also Mardi Gras themed with free drinks. I had to text my friends in Louisiana to tell them how good it was to be back south. :)

The next night I ran into my friend Stephanie who works part-time for us. I havent seen her since Jan when I was working in Gulfport so it was fun to see her again. Ruth and Steph introduced me to Corner Bakery. I had never been there before but ended up loving it and eating there twice this trip. I also did a lil shopping. Good trip. Tennessee this week! Two weeks ago I had the opportunity to spend a week in Miami Beach, Florida for work. It was great!! I flew into Ft. Lauderdale Airport and stayed in Boynton Beach the first night. All week I screened at cemetaries/funeral homes. I have never screened at a funeral business before, it was definetely a change from oil rigs or big corporate offices. The next night I was in Tamarac Florida which is really close to where Princesse lives! I lived with Princesse one summer up at school in Idaho. It was fun to reunite with her. The first two days I was in Florida it rained, so Princesse and I went and watched "The Other Guys" and went shopping. It was SO good to see her!

The last two nights I was there I stayed at a resort right on Miami Beach. It was GORGEOUS! By the last two days it was sunny and I was able to catch some rays, lounging on the beach, getting some much needed relaxing and sun in. :) :) The gym at my hotel was amazing. Usually hotel gyms are pretty standard with one treadmill, one bike and one elipitcal. At my hotel it had a whole room for weights and another room for cardio. It was pretty sweet! I am so happy I had the opportunity to go to FL. It was a fun trip. :) I took pictures from my phone and camera, but I thought google images did more justice of how awesome it is.

-! West Virginia, Texas and Oklahoma City -!

Way behind on my posting, but Ill catch you up on the trips I have been on these last few weeks. The week after Amber and Josh's wedding I flew back up to West Virginia. This time I worked in Charleston, which is the capitol.  I got a dodge charger for the trip but walked almost everywhere I went. My hotel was right downtown and everything was in walking distance. It was only myself on the trip but was able to see some really cool painted buildings downtown as well as the river. It was a good trip. :)

The next two weeks I was in LaGrange, Texas. Screenings went really well both weeks. Not much to say about these two trips. First trip I was with Kelly and second trip was with Anneliesa. Second trip we stopped in Cameron, Texas for lunch at a locally owned place called the Bistro. The food was great! (They gave me extras of everything) The people at the restaurant, that barbor next door and the owners showed us so much kindness. I dont know if "kindness" is the right word but it felt like we were almost family there. We were treated exceptionall well.

And finally... last week I was in OKC, OK.  Went with six other girls so it was a big trip.  I was able to visit my Aunt Karen, my cousin Nichol and her daughter Angel while I was there. I hadnt seen Angel ever, and it had been eighteen years since I have seen Aunt K and Nichol. We went out to eat and tried to catch up. Im so grateful for the opportunity to see them and hope we can see each other more often. Aunt K said that next June we are all running in marathon together in New Port. I better get to training. :) The screening went really well. Went and got my haircut with Michelle at Solon W and went out to eat with the girls. Good trip.
