Last week I traveled to the east coast to Boston MA for work. I absolutely loved the city! It is SO historic and beautiful! Lindsey and I flew out on a Sunday morning. Between delayed flights, getting on other flights, stand-by and wating for luggage to arrive, we finally settled into our hotel around 9:00 that night. The next morning we got up early and went to the Boston Common. The freedom trail starts there, so we began to walk the trail starting there. Here is a map of the freedom trail:
The freedom trail had all the historic sites that we were able to visit. I thought to myself that US history would have been alot more fun to learn if I lived in Boston at the time.
Well Lindsey is a born and bred Texan who had never had the opportunity to ice skate, so we went ice skating at the Boston Common Frog pond.
It was fun!Over the next few days we explored Boston, got lost in Chinatown, got soaked from all the rain, and learned the NE accent. For example: "cah" instead of car. "Mahshalls instead of Marshalls. We also visted Harvard and went to Fenway Park. Also while taking a stroll on Newbury and shopping at H&M we got stopped by some girls who work at Vidal Sassoon. They asked if we wanted to be hair models for them the following day. I was in need of a hair cut so, i agreed and this is what my hair looks like now.
It was a great trip, although it does feel good to be back in warm texas and relaxing the day away!

!-Marti Gras 2010-!
I have been blogging for over a year now. I am suprised that I have kept up so well with blogging. Looking back, you can read about my Marti gras 2009 experiance. I had a blast last year and jumped at the opportunity to go again when Scott invited me this year! My trip almost got cancelled due to the snow but I made it safely. Friday night Scott took me out to eat at California Pizza and we went and saw the movie Valentines Day.
It was a fun night! Thankyou Scott! That saturday, Scott, Joe and I went to New Orleans for the Marti gras parades. It was FREEZING cold. Last year I remember being in Flip flops and a dress, but too cold for that this year! Nicole a girl we were with lent me her sweater to wear because I was so cold. It was very sweet of her. After the parade we drove back to Baton Rouge and ate at IHOP, and then the next morning I drove back to Dallas.
It was a short weekend but I had fun. Thank you Scott and Joe! I barely took any pictures at all. Im disapointed I didnt take more but I do have a few! Enjoy.

-!Snow!-
Its been awhile since I have blogged so I will do a few posts tonight. First off, Dallas, Texas has had record snow fall. It snowed 12 and half inches! Yes that is right, TWELVE AND A HALF last weekend. I was in complete shock! I thought I moved down south! I was a little bitter about the snow, but it really did look beautiful and was exciting weather for all the Texans. Because it is such a rare thing for it to snow down here I took lots of pictures! Enjoy

!-Trips to Irving, TX and closing of Interstate 635-!
This week I got to work in Irving, Texas screening for Nokia. Its about 28 miles from home, so about a thirty to forty five minute drive depending on traffic. Work went well all week and I was able to work with two of the new people who just started. It still feels like I just started, but glad there is some newer ones than me. :) Yesterday (friday) I left Irving at 3:00 expecting to get home at 3:30-3:40. I got on the 635 and was driving normal until traffic just stopped. I sat in traffic for over an hour just barely inching along.
I was confused because it was only three, 5:00 traffic didnt ever run that slow.
I knew something was up because firetrucks, ambulances and police cars kept zooming by and sounding their sirens. I got to this sign that said IH635 closed ahead. Closed?
I didnt even know it was possible to close an interstate. All of a sudden 5 lanes of traffic are trying to exit all at once in a one road exit lane. Pink cadillac lady was inches from hitting me on more than one occasion.
It was crazy! So as you all know. I dont know my way around Dallas at all. I know just specific roads that get me to specific places. So having to exit 12 miles early, I had no idea where I was and my GPS just kept telling me to get back on the closed interstate. Trixie called though because it came up on TV that it was closed. She had to give me step by step instuctions to get back home. I kept missing the turns she told me to turn at from being in the wrong lanes, had to pay at tolls and traffic just kept getting worse as it got closer to five. Finally, after two hours I made it home. I didnt think I was one to have road rage but I was definetly on edge. A truck was leaking HCL Acid, which can easily start a vehicle on fire so that is why they closed it. Last night I went and saw Dear John with Trixie and Maegen.
Not as good as the book, but was still good. I bought a new camera but didnt take any pictures this week so, internet pictures from DFW Fox News posted. :)
